Thompson, Starnes and Timms Post Border-Town Showdown Wins During Lucas Oil NOW600 Series Competition at Caney Valley Speedway

Inside Line Promotions – CANEY, Kan. (Oct. 19, 2019) – Kyle Thompson, Joey Starnes and Ryan Timms each produced a Lucas Oil National Open Wheel 600 Series presented by Tel-Star Technologies feature victory on Saturday during the Border-Town Showdown finale hosted by Caney Valley Speedway.

Thompson scored his first career Stock Non-Wing win with the series after starting fourth and outlasting 10th-starting Kenton Brewer. Dean Drake Jr. placed third with Timms fourth and Jack Kassik fifth.

Josh Marcham and Thompson were the heat race winners.

Starnes maneuvered from eighth to capture his third career Winged ‘A’ Class triumph with the series. Cole Roberts recorded a runner-up result with Gage Laney rallying from 10th to third. Drake Jr. was fourth and Gunner Bowden ended fifth.

Thompson and Bowden each won a heat race.

Timms earned his series-leading 13th Restricted ‘A’ Class victory of the season to increase his lead in the championship standings. Mason Daugherty finished second with Brenham Crouch, Kayden Cole and Joshua Gentry rounding out the top five, respectively.

Garrett Benson and Gentry claimed the heat races.

The NOW600 Series will be off next weekend before wrapping up the season Nov. 2-3 at Arkoma Speedway in Arkoma, Okla.
