Salute To First Responders Planned For Can-Am Speedway Friday Evening

LAFARGEVILLE, NY - Come out to Can-Am Speedway Friday night and help salute our local First Responders! First Responder Night is sponsored by the good people at Sundance Leisure, Superior Plus & Griffith Energy.

All first responders will receive a FREE grandstand admission just by showing their ID at the gate. The night is dedicated to Watertown Firefighter Peyton Morse, Watertown Battalion Chief David Lachenauer, New York State Trooper Joel Davis, and Emergency Medical Technician Mark Davis. Firetrucks, police cars, ambulances and other first responder vehicles from all around the region will be on hand. A parade of first responder vehicles will take place during intermission. It is a great night to come out and show your gratitude and support for the brave men and women who work tirelessly to keep us all safe.

Of course, an exciting night of racing is planned for the Nasty Track of the North as well. Whitesboro Plow shop DIRTcar 358 Modifieds, Bob Johnson Auto Group DIRTcar Sportsman and FABCO DIRTcar Pro Stocks will all run a regular program. The Marsha Gibbons TLC Real Estate, ThunderStock and Donath Motor Worx Limited Sportsman features will add to the night’s excitement. Additionally, Roof To Rails is sponsoring the Hard Charger award and the Hard Luck Award is sponsored by NNY Racing Connection & NorthCountry Custom Embroidery.

The points competitions for track champion are tightening up. Every race has an impact! Do not miss a single night of action at Can-Am Speedway.

Pit Gates open at 4pm with General Admission gates opening at 5pm. The drivers meeting will take place at 6:30pm sharp with Hot Laps to ensue at 6:45pm. Opening Ceremonies for the evening will kick off at 7:30pm performed live by the lovely Miss Adirondack/Miss Thousand Islands with Heat Races to immediately follow.
