FX CAPRARA STEPS UP TO SPONSOR $2500 TO WIN DIRTcar SPORTSMAN EVENT SEPTEMBER 7TH AT CAN-AM IN HONOR OF JOHN BURR
Can-Am Speedway owner Tyler Bartlett is proud to announce that FX Caprara Honda and FX Caprara Dodge-Jeep-Chrysler-Ram of Alexandria Bay will be sponsoring the final DIRTcar Sportsman race of the season at Can-Am, on Saturday, September 7th. Making the “Showdown in September� weekend even bigger, the $2500 to win special is expected to bring a record number of entries. DIRTcar Sportsman racers can travel to the LaFargeville oval for two great nights of racing with a DIRTcar Series race on the schedule for Friday night September 6th. Not only will the winner on September 7th take home some extra money but all qualified cars will take home $200. Plans are for all non-qualifiers to compete in a B-Main which will pay the top 5 finishers. The September 7th activities will be in honor of long-time Can-Am Speedway announcer John Burr who passed away this past week. John was a friend of everyone who met him in the racing community and will be missed by all. More information on next weeks “Showdown in September� will be announced later this week. This will be a great weekend to close out another successful season at Can-Am. Follow us on Facebook at Can-Am Speedway or call the office at 315-876-3478.
