MUSEUM STAFF AND RAFFLE CAR HEAD TO CALIFORNIA IN THE WEEKS AHEAD

KNOXVILLE, IOWA (August 22, 2013) – National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum special events coordinator David Herrmann and gift planning consultant Doug Lockin are both headed to California in the weeks ahead, along with the brand-new museum-benefit Maxim/Rider raffle sprint car. David Herrmann will have the state-of-the-art 410-cubic-inch sprint car at Calistoga, California, on August 31-September 1; Chico, Calif., on September 4-7; and Antioch, California, on September 8.

Doug Lockin will be in northern California on September 4-6 in conjunction with the Gold Cup Race of Champions sprint car races at the Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico. Doug will be visiting museum friends and participating in Clyde Lamar’s Gold Cup Hall of Fame Golf Classic. He will be spreading the word about exciting developments in the organization’s Expand the Dream campaign. If you wish to speak with Doug during these three days, please contact him on his mobile phone at 515-210-6603.

The raffle car, which debuted at this year’s Kings Royal at Tony Stewart’s Eldora Speedway, can be seen at the two-day United States Auto Club/California Racing Association (USAC/CRA) Louis Vermeil Classic at the Calistoga Speedway on the Napa County Fairgrounds. Track manager Tommy Hunt and his wife Jeannie Hunt are excited about having the Maxim/Rider car at their growing event on August 31-September 1.

The raffle car will also be seen at the World of Outlaws (WoO) Gold Cup Race of Champions at the Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico on September 4-7. This is traditionally one of the premier WoO shows in the nation, along with the Kings Royal in Ohio, the just-completed Knoxville Nationals in Iowa and the Williams Grove National Open in central Pennsylvania.

Finally, the raffle car will appear at the Antioch Speedway for the final night of the WoO West Coast tour on September 8. Tickets can be purchased at these events, by visiting the museum in Knoxville, Iowa, or by calling the museum at 1-800-874-4488. Those seeking more information on the museum-benefit raffle car can visit the www.sprintcarhof.com web site.
