The Cadillac Chassis Challenge Winner's Bonus Announced For The 8th Annual King of the Hill

GREENWOOD, LA – In 2022, the 8th Annual King of the Hill expands to include an additional day of racing action and changes the qualifying format to include DUAL feature events on both Thursday and Friday nights in 2022. Thursday and Friday night’s race action will be comprised of both heat, last chance, and feature race action. The field on each night will be divided into 2 groups based on the pill draw. The twin features on those nights will start 24 cars with Passing Points being utilized in the heat races each preliminary night. Each group will compete within their own set of heat, last chance, and feature race action with the feature winner in each group receiving $1,000 To-Win!

At a minimum, 48 racers will now put money in their pockets on each preliminary night!!! Saturday night, the combined points from Thursday and Friday’s action will determine the C Main and B Main lineups with the Top 8 from Thursday and Friday night being locked into the King of the Hill’s $10,000 To-Win Main Event. The Top 8 will run a pole dash to determine their starting order on Saturday night.

Jack Sullivan with Cadillac’s Chassis has now increased the money a driver can take home with even more money with the Cadillac Chassis Challenge. The challenge will be based on the driver’s finish in the feature events on Thursday, Friday, the Pole Dash, and then the King of the Hill $10,000 finale on Saturday night and will put forward bonus monies to Factory Stock competitors who take home multiple victories on the weekend. The Challenge will have 3 bonuses put forward $500, $1,000, and $2,000. To qualify for one of these bonuses the driver will need to do the following:

• To be eligible, drivers must compete in all 3 qualifying nights, Thursday thru Saturday.
• Any driver that wins 2 of 3 Feature Events on the weekend - $500
• Any driver that wins 2 of 3 Feature Events on the weekend and the Pole Dash - $1,000
• Any driver that wins 3 of 3 Feature Events on the weekend and the Pole Dash - $2,000

When asked about his thoughts on the Cadillac Challenge, promoter Brian Frazier responded “Frist, I want to thank Jack Sullivan for coming onboard with the King of the Hill this year and putting up this Cadillac Challenge Bonus Money. With the race drawing well over 120 cars the past several years and the excitement and buzz surrounding the new format this year, we expect the car count to continue to be huge, this challenge will only build that excitement this race has around it.” Mr. Frazier continued “If a driver wins any of these bonuses, they will have done something. The best Factory Stock drivers and teams will be here, this will be no easy bonus to take home. However, I wouldn’t be surprised if somebody gets close!”

The 8th Annual King of the Hill is a 4-day event that takes place on July 27th – July 30th. An Open Practice on Wednesday, July 27th opens the weekend before racing begins on Thursday, July 28th and continues thru Saturday, July 30th. Racers will earn points every time they are on the track and the combined points from Thursday and Friday night will determine Saturday night's race lineups with the Top 8 in points after Thursday and Friday being locked into Saturday’s $10,000 To-Win Main Event. As in years past, the event will utilize Boothill Speedway’s rules for the Factory Stocks and there is NO ENTRY FEE!!!
