Second win of 2021 comes at Boothill Speedway

Kyle Beard raced his Gary Beard Trucking No. 86 Mann Motorsports / Capital Race Cars/ Clements Racing Engine Super Late Model to his second win of the season on Saturday night. The triumph was worth $4,000 and came in COMP Cams Super Dirt Series sanctioned ‘The Firecracker’ at Louisiana’s Boothill Speedway. (Turn 3 Images | Millie Tanner photo)

"Don't mess up," Beard said he told himself in the final laps of the 40-lap affair. "I've been doing a good job at that lately. The car was pretty good, though. The lapped cars kinda made me nervous a little bit, but they gave me room, so we were good.

“We’ve had a fast and balanced car this year, but these races are tough to win, and there’s no shortage of great teams and cars out here. We’re thankful to win another win, and we thank everyone, who makes our program possible.”

After Mother Nature won the first two events over the Fourth of July weekend, Kyle Beard headed to Boothill Speedway (Greenwood, La.) on Saturday afternoon for the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) sanctioned program.

Drawing a field of 21 entries, Kyle qualified second fastest overall in time trials behind Brian Rickman before picking up an eight-lap heat race victory. Outrunning the field in the 40-lap feature, Beard raced to his second win of the season, which came over B.J. Robinson, Rickman, Logan Martin, and Morgan Bagley. He pocketed $4,000 for his 18th-career series triumph.

Kyle is currently fourth in the latest CCSDS point standings.
