Jim Bernheisel races to runner-up finish at Selinsgrove Speedway

On Tuesday afternoon Jim Bernheisel visited Selinsgrove Speedway (Selinsgrove, Pa.) for the 75th Anniversary Race. With 26 Late Models entered, Bernheisel secured his spot into the $5,075-to-win A-Main with a heat race victory. Returning to Selinsgrove Speedway on Saturday, Jim edged his way into the main event with a fifth-place finish in his heat. Rolling off 15th, Bernheisel salvaged an 11th-place finish after contact on the opening lap bent his right-front suspension.

On Sunday at Bloomsburg Fair Speedway (Bloomsburg, Pa.) for the Zimmer’s United Late Model Northern Series (ULMS) sanctioned event, Bernheisel clocked in eighth fastest in his group before placing fifth in his heat. With $3,000 on the line in the feature, Jim jumped up four spots to finish sixth.
