Driver Spotlight #4: William Grubbs!
William is from Burton, MI and has been in the racing scene for 6 years now. William got into racing because of his best friend Gerald Persails & is on Team 80 with Gerry and a couple of other teammates! William raced in our FWD class this past season along with Maximum Destruction.
William said, "Gerry & I met 10 years ago and I started hanging out at the track with him. Next thing you know, I'm racing for Team 80 Motorsports. The chance he gave me to race has been a blast and I look forward to it every year!" William said his favorite part about racing is the thrill and adrenaline that he gets from it.
Some of his friends and family said that William, "is always there at the track giving it his all" and "he's a great guy and races hard." William said that he loves racing because of the fans and the smiles on the kids' faces. William also loves meeting new racers and helping each other out!
In his free time, William likes playing darts, bowling, hanging out with friends and family and working on his race car in the off season. One of his friends and family even said that William "makes some killer food on the grill!"
Congrats William! Thank you for choosing Auto City Speedway and we can't wait to see you and Team 80 Motorsports back at the track in 2023!
