Dancer Happy With Weekend Performances at Limaland and Attica

Inside Line Promotions – ATTICA, Ohio (April 18, 2017) – Shawn Dancer is pleased with his results from last weekend, when the action began on Friday at Limaland Motorsports Park in Lima, Ohio, with the NRA Sprint Invaders.
“We finally had a good night,” Dancer said. “We drew a bad pill, which made us start in the back of our heat race, but we ended up fifth.”
A car spun in front of Dancer in the heat and he got tangled a bit, but he was able to earn a fifth-place result. He started 14th in the A Main and made his way up to fifth place before losing his brakes with only a few laps remaining.
“We fell back a bit after the brakes went out and we finished eighth,” he said. “Overall, it was a good night. The car was great, probably the best car I’ve had in a long time.”
The eighth-place result was Dancer’s first top-10 finish of the season.
The weekend concluded on Saturday when Dancer competed with the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions at Attica Raceway Park.
“We went out 12th for qualifying and timed eighth out of 47 cars,” he said. “Our time started us third in our heat race and we made it to the front to grab the win.”
Dancer’s heat race win locked him into a dash, in which he started fourth and finished second.
“That was the first time I’d been in a dash with the All Stars so that was pretty cool,” he said.
Dancer, who lined up fourth in the A Main, ran well for the first part of the feature. He fell back a couple of spots, but maintained a top-10 position.
“We were getting passed on the high side so I decided to move up the track,” he said. “I just entered turn three a little too hard and blew it off the corner and that pretty much ended our night.”
Dancer was able to tag the tail of the field for the last couple of laps and bring home a 19th-place finish.
“We’ll take it as a great weekend and keep building off of that,” he said.
