Sixth Class Announced for ABC Raceway Hall of Fame

Ashland, WI – The sixth group of inductees for the ABC Raceway’s Hall of Fame were announced during the track’s season opener on Saturday night.

The Hall of Fame has recognized individuals, businesses and organizations who have achieved success and contributed to the operation and success of the ABC Raceway each year since 2014. With the inclusion of the Class of 2019, the total number of inductees will reach 59.

Those to be inducted in the Driver category include Six-Cylinder champs Chuck Hawkinson and Art Hyde, the late Don Roseen, and Sixes and Mod champion Dean Yrjanainen.

The Volunteer category will grow with the addition of former Raceway Board member Martha Koleski and her son, long-time flagman Tom Koleski; veteran track workers Pete Miller and Ray Parent, and long-time announcer Nick Gima.

In the Contributor category, in which inductees are chosen by unanimous decision by the Hall of Fame committee, Lulich Implement of Mason and former photographer and media contributor Bob Wedlund will be added.

The Hall of Fame induction presentations will take place on the front straightaway of the ABC Raceway during intermission of the June 22 race program, which will be presented by Zar’s Banquet Hall of Ashland. A private banquet honoring the inductees will be held at Zar’s prior to the race program.
