COMPETITION FOR THE CHAMPIONSHIP POINTS STANDINGS IN THE REVIVAL DIRT LATE MODEL SERIES IS INTENSE FOLLOWING THE OPENING WEEKEND

Bartlesville, OK (6/13/24) The competitive racing during the kickoff weekend of the inaugural season of the Revival Dirt Late Model Series presented by Start2Finish TV, has resulted in a closely contested championship points race. Brett Hansen currently holds a slim 10-point lead over Joseph Gorby in the standings following the first weekend of races.

Brett Hansen, the current leader in the point standings with 530 points, had a remarkable weekend. At Outlaw Motor Speedway, Hansen achieved the fastest qualifying time, emerged victorious in the pole dash to secure the pole position for the feature race, and ultimately finished in 5th place in the A Feature. Meanwhile, at Tri-State Speedway, Hansen faced a slower start with the 9th overall qualifying time. However, he showcased his resilience and managed to rally in the feature race where he lead a single lap but ultimately secured a commendable 4th place finish.

Joseph Gorby, who is currently in second place in the point standings with a total of 520 points, had a weekend that was almost as impressive as Hansen's. At Outlaw Motor Speedway, Gorby showcased his skills by securing the sixth fastest time. He then went on to finish fifth in the pole dash and displayed his determination by ultimately securing a well-deserved third place podium finish in the main event. Gorby's exceptional performance continued at Tri-State Speedway, where he not only achieved the fastest qualifying time but also emerged victorious in the pole dash. Despite encountering a mishap during the A-Feature, which resulted in him being sent to the back of the 22 car field, Gorby showcased his resilience and managed to make a remarkable comeback, ultimately finishing in a commendable sixth place.

The remaining competitors in the Top 5 standings are closely trailing the leaders. Cole Wells holds the 3rd position, trailing Hansen by 70 points. Jon Kirby, the inaugural REVIVAL Dirt Late Model Series feature race victor, is in 4th place, 90 points behind Hansen. Jacob Magee completes the Top 5, trailing Hansen by 100 points.

The Championship Points Race is set to resume on July 5th and July 6th as the series returns to action at Electric City Speedway in Butler, MO and Nevada Speedway in Nevada, MO.
