Harwood wins Bumpy’s Auto Service of Salem, NH 25!

Epping, NH - The New England Dwarf Car Series presented by Construction Site Machinery rolled into Star Speedway this past Friday night for the Bumpy’s Auto Service of Salem,NH 25 with a strong 23 car field!

Unfortunately Adam King’s 44 experienced motor failure in practice and opted to get into his wife, Monique King’s 19k for the evening. The m7 of Rich Cail experienced engine issue going to line up for the heats and was unable to get it repaired. Tom Harwood in the 29 led start to finish to win heat 1. Jason Hodgdon in the 31h won heat 2 which was slowed by the 07 of Ronnie Carman loosing his engine. Andrew Harmon in the 14 took the win in heat #3 which was slowed by the 18 of Jimmy Ryder loosing an engine.

Dan Brofman (3NH) and Sarah Hodgdon (12) brought the 19 car field to the green for the Bumpy’s Auto Service of Salem, NH 25 lap main event! Before a lap could be completed the 57 of Zig Geno spun to avoid catastrophe as the field went 3 wide going into turn 3 bring out the yellow. After the full field was reset to original starting spots with the exception of Geno the field was doubled up ready to do battle but similar to the first attempt the caution would fly as they would try 3 wide into turn 3 again but this time the 31H of Jason Hodgdon made hard contact with the wall ending his evening. Sarah Hodgdon and the 26 of Eric Bacon were also involved and thus had to restart at the back.

The race would be slowed on lap 6 for the 19k of Adam King spinning in turn 4. Then on lap 12 caution would fly for the 19 of Chris Waites and 0No of Chris Sullivan. The last caution flew on lap 16 for the 11 of Larry Debenedictis spinning in turn 4. All the while the race for the lead was intense as Cody Hodgdon had his 31 machine running strong out front for a good portion of the race but in the end it was “Top Gun” Tom Harwood burning it down on his way to his 4th straight trip to Bumpy’ Auto Service Victory Lane!

Harwood was followed by Bacon in 2nd, Cody Hodgdon in 3rd, Harmon in 4th, and Geno in 5th! Full results and points can be found at nedwarfcarseries.com!
