Swann Named Vision Wheel Steel Block Bandits Series Director

Fayetteville, NC - As the Series progresses to its third race of the year at Smoky Mountain Speedway this weekend, Joseph Swann, the current race director and former Series photographer, has been elevated as the Series director of the Vision Wheel Steel Block Bandits Dirt Late Model Challenge for the 2024 season and beyond. Swann takes over the role from series founder & director Jim Long Jr.
Swann served as a team member under Jim Long at the Fayetteville Motor Speedway from 2015 to 2019, undertaking roles as the social media coordinator and assuming the position of the track's official photographer at the onset of the 2016 season. Following the conclusion of the 2019 season, Swann expanded his photography portfolio by capturing numerous national events and embracing a demanding travel itinerary and growing his business Gen 3 Performance Imaging before reuniting with Jim Long in 2021 as the Series Photographer for the Steel Block Bandits. Throughout Swann's tenure with the Vision Wheel Steel Block Bandits, he has assumed various roles within the organization. Initially serving as the series photographer, he progressed to the position of pit steward for two seasons before transitioning to the role of race director during the 2022 season.
As the 2024 season unfolds, Swann will uphold the initial vision, ensuring that every location visited by the Bandits deliver an elevated racing experience. This initiative aims to showcase America's Most Wanted to a broader audience, encompassing both fans and professionals within the racing industry. “Joseph has shown that he has grown and showed that he has what it takes and that the Bandits are in good hands” Long stated.
