Topless Outlaw Late Model Series
Austin Neely claims 2024 Topless Outlaws Championship!
Austin Neely of New Tazewell, Tenn. captured his first touring series championship by way of his 10th place finish at Senoia Raceway on October 26th to clinch the Topless Outlaws Dirt Late Model Series presented by Stanley Best Heat & Air Championship.
An excited Neely stated from the front stretch after the feature race: “It really means a lot to win the Topless Outlaws Championship. We have supported Michael (Robinette) since the series began and we have chased this deal a couple of times and its good to finally get one. We didn’t really have the year we wanted; I know that sounds crazy but we were consistent.”
“Congratulations to Anthony (White 2nd in points) I know he had a rough night (Senoia) and his son (Anthony White Jr. 3rd and R.O.Y.) We really have got a good team. It has been stressful for sure but I have got to first thank Robert right here, without him none of this is possible, my dad, Alan Neely, my son Rayceton, my girlfriend Hayley, Mark, Dylan, Odie, Mom, Rex, Jarr, Travis, and Lynn along with all my sponsors, thank you very much.”
Neely had perfect attendance in 2024 and garnered 5 top five finishes and 9 top ten finishes of the 11 races completed on the 2024 Topless Outlaws Tour.
Anthony White and Anthony White Jr. also had perfect attendance. Neely has four wins in series history with 3 wins coming at his home track, Tazewell Speedway and one win at Crossville Speedway. White Sr. captured one win in 2024. It came at his home track of Wartburg, Tenn. on July 3rd. Anthony White Jr. also claimed 2024 Rookie of the Years honors.
Neely’s Longhorn chassis carries sponsorship from 5-Star Properties, Reece Monuments, First Century Bank, Clayton Homes, Mary’s Home Furnishings, Thompson Insurance Group and Giles Industries. Neely and others will be honored at the Series Awards Banquet coming in January with details coming soon.
Series founder Michael Robinette stated: “Congratulations to Austin and his crew, they earned it. I also want to thank all the drivers, sponsors, especially Stanley Best Heat & Air, all the track promoters, all my crew members and especially all the fans that have supported the series over these past six years.” He further stated: “I know new owner Scott Pass will do a great job at taking the Topless Outlaws to the next level.”
