2022 Lucas Oil Pro Pulling League Champion Seed Western Series Point Standings Review
Charlestown, IN (October 20, 2022) – The Champion Seed Western Series points recap today completes our review of the three regional-national series of the Lucas Oil Pro Pulling League. The Western Series had classes compete in as many as fourteen sessions across five states, from East-Central Nebraska to Southern Illinois.
The 95 Limited Pro Stock Tractor division had a big schedule for 2022, with former class champion Adrian Cox and the Hickory Hooker IH once again taking top honors for this season.

The Pro Modified Four Wheel Drive Truck class was a "who's-who" of Champions Tour competitors, with a ultra-tight race between champ Jim Bosch and the Midnight Raider Chevy and Terry Hagedorn wheeling the Gun Powder and Lead Chevy decided on by virtue of who had the most third-place finishes after tying in first and second-place finish totals.

Light Pro Stock Tractor action found a champion who demonstrated that consistency is critical for a points title; Justin Hopkins garnered the title for 2022 with the Just Gettin Started IH on the strength of five top-five finishes, based on six sessions of competition that included one rainout.

Super Modified Two Wheel Drive Trucks brought their brand of power and noise to four sessions of competition of 2022. With that small window of competition the title was decided at the final event in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Gary and Shane Starcher and the Flatland Thunder T-bucket would claim the title with a second-place points finish at Cape.

A small but potent group of Light Super Stock Tractors made appearances in four sessions at Champion Seed Western Series events. The Haug Pulling Team, with Dale Haug piloting the Little Temptation Case, clinched the 2022 points title with 148 total points; Haug was also in second driving the Big Temptation Case with 146 total points; and Tayton Terry wheeled the Too Hystrung Allis-Chalmers into the third spot with 96 total points.
The Pro Stock 4x4 Truck class and the 5.0 Pro Stock Tractor class crowned a pair of champions with a limited campaign in both classes. Troy Stevens and the Bowtie Affair Chevy had PS4X4 honors and Bryce Van Genderen and the Geared Green Deere earned 5.0 Pro accolades.
