Blackbourn, Russell and Simon Win Big at Lucas Oil Pro Pulling League Super Pro Showdown

Charlestown, IN (July 16, 2022) – Performing in front of an appreciative and enthusiastic crowd last evening at the Jersey County Fair in Jerseyville, Illinois, three competitors stood out from their peers at the Lucas Oil Pro Pulling League Super Pro Showdown.

In the opening class, Silver Series 95 Limited Pro Stock Tractors were led by Chad Russell on the Shoot to Thrill Deere, breaking the stranglehold that Andrew Hartman and the International Addiction IH has had on the Silver Series circuit so far in 2022. Chris Aschliman and the Diggin’ for a Living CaseIH top second place honors in the class at Jerseyville in a class of five.

Fifteen elite Champions Tour ARP Lightweight Super Stock Tractors answered the call to action in Jerseyville with a familiar name atop the leaderboard. Terry Blackbourn has had the early points lead with the Armed and Dangerous-Excessive Force CaseIH of Team Chizek based on the strength of three wins on that machine. Terry would find the winners circle however at the Super Pro Showdown aboard the Considered Armed and Dangerous CaseIH, solidifying that machine’s number two position in points. Dale Haug and the Big Temptation Case made the long haul from Kansas a fruitful one with a solid second place performance in Jerseyville.

Completing the evening of pulling action was an outstanding group of 21 Optima Batteries Super Modified Two Wheel Drive Trucks in Champions Tour competition. RJ Simon and the Simon Sez Chevy made a mid-pack 346+ feet blast for the win, asserting himself as the leader of the points race thus far for 2022. Following up on her win at the Fisher Community Fair was Misty Nelson in the After Midnight Chevy with a second place finish in Jerseyville, and in doing so entered the top five in the points battle.
