Clanton scores sixth-place finish in Colossal 100 prelim

For another $25,000-to-win A-Main on Thursday, Shane jumped up one spot in his heat race to place third. Inching forward four spots in the 30-lap feature, Clanton recorded a 14th-place outing.

After losing Friday’s program to Mother Nature, Clanton laid down the sixth-fastest time in his group on Saturday before placing second in his heat. Starting the $50,000-to-win Colossal 100 finale in 12th, Shane passed six cars in the 50-lap affair to register a sixth-place finish.
