Top-10 finish in Bristol Dirt Nationals finale

On Friday evening, Ross Bailes traveled to the Bristol Motor Speedway (Bristol, Tenn.) to compete in the final two rounds of the second annual Bristol Dirt Nationals. In a field of 30 XR Super Series entries, Bailes followed up the sixth-fastest time in his qualifying group with third-place finish in his heat. The following night, Ross secured his spot into the $50,000-to-win finale with the fourth-and-final transfer spot in his heat. Rolling off 18th, Bailes advanced through the field 10 spots in the 50-lapper to register an eighth-place finish.
