EPJ notches sixth-place finish in Bristol finale
Papich Racing pilot Earl Pearson Jr. returned to the dirt-covered Bristol Motor Speedway (Bristol, Tenn.) on Friday afternoon to wrap up the Bristol Dirt Nationals with the final two events. With the fourth-and-final transfer spot in his heat race pinning him 15th on the starting grid for the A-Main, Pearson Jr. raced forward five spots in the 50-lapper to register a 10th-place finish.
On Saturday evening with Jason Papich joining in on the action, Earl secured his spot into the $50,000-to-win finale with a third-place finish in his heat while Papich finished sixth. He missed a transfer spot by one position in his B-Main but was granted a provisional into the main event. Pearson Jr. passed five cars in the 50-lapper to finish sixth while Jason was an early retiree.
