Hard contact with wall ends weekend at Bristol

Jensen Ford invaded the famed Bristol Motor Speedway (Bristol, Tenn.) on Friday afternoon to enter his Whitehead Construction No. 83 Late Model into battle for the XR Super Series season opener. Drawing 37 Late Models for the second annual Bristol Dirt Nationals, Ford followed up the fourth-fastest lap in his group with a second-place finish in his heat. Rolling off eighth for the $50,000-to-win A-Main, Jensen was collected in a tangle with another competitor on the opening lap that brought a disappointing end to his weekend. (Chad Wells photo)
