Early Entries Prepare for All-Tech Raceway STSS ‘Sunshine Swing’ February 5-8, 2020
LAKE CITY,
FL – In just over two
months, the Bob Hilbert Sportswear Short Track Super Series (STSS) Fueled By
Sunoco makes history with its first appearance in the Sunshine State.
While the
final checkered flags have just been waved for the Northeast season, 2020 is
approaching quickly for STSS competitors eyeing the ‘Sunshine Swing’ at
All-Tech Raceway in Lake City, Fla., February 5-8, 2020. STSS Modifieds and
Crate 602 Sportsman make their debut at the half-mile track approximately one
hour west of Jacksonville.
Jordan Watson
of Milford, Del., etched his name in the record books as the first ‘Sunshine
Swing’ Modified entrant.
Among the
early STSS Modified entrants are David Schilling of East Greenbush, N.Y.; Scott
Van Gorder of Laurel, Del.; Rick Regalski of Slippery Rock, Pa.; Matt Hawkins
of Hartly, Del.; and Kyle Weiss of Hamburg, Pa.
Montgomery,
N.Y., resident Bobby Flood became the first to file an entry for the Crate 602
Sportsman portion of the swing.
Others filing registrations have included Brendan Gibbons of Scotia, N.Y.; Jeff Brown of Salisbury, Md.; Daniel Morgiewicz of Goshen, N.Y.; Jim Introne Jr. of Granville, N.Y.; and Grant Hilfiger of Canadensis, Pa.
An open
practice on Wednesday (Feb. 5) leads into three consecutive nights of racing at
All-Tech. Thursday night (Feb. 6) features $5,000-to-win STSS Modifieds and
$1,250-to-win Crate 602 Sportsman. On Friday (Feb. 7) the stakes rise to
$7,500-to-win STSS Modifieds with Crate 602 Sportsman again competing for
$1,250.
Saturday
(Feb. 8) closes the book on the series with Modifieds competing for $10,000 to
