Winger survives for $5,054 in Michael Head Jr. Memorial
Fending off Brandon Overton’s late-race charge, race-long pacesetter Ashton Winger of Hampton, Ga., claimed his fifth career Southern All Star Series victory in Saturday night’s 54-lap Michael Head Jr. Memorial at Senoia Raceway. The 21-year-old driver earned $5,054 in taking the checkers 1.212 seconds ahead of Overton, who was driving the car normally driven by his brother Cody.
