POWRi Desert Wing Sprint Series Unveils 2022 Season Schedule

Belleville, IL. (12/10/2021) Doubling the amount of 360-Wing sprint racing for their second year of operation, the POWRi Desert Wing Sprint Series will see a sixteen-event season-spanning an early April open until a late October finale.

Venturing to four fantastic racing venues across three southwest states, return trips to fan-favorite facilities of the inaugural season will be in store with Vado Speedway Park (May 28&29/September 02&03) and Aztec Speedway (June 10&11/August 19&20) each gaining four race nights. Branching out to offer fans and drivers alike ample racing opportunities, Route 66 Speedway (July 15&16) in Amarillo Texas will see a mid-season visit with the POWRi Desert Wing Sprints also visiting Peoria, Arizona’s Canyon Speedway Park (April 01&02/October 28&29) twice with two-day book-ending trips on the season.

Pledging part of the racing community to not intentionally schedule against anyone and to always provide two-day shows once a month to try to keep travel affordable and worth the effort. Full 2022 Rules and Race Procedures will be made available soon on the POWRI website with single file restarts with a cone, as well as Pill Draw-Entry, and Passing Points the standard in all events.

Championship Purse total will continue to be $20,000.00, with $1,500 to win and $250 to start Night One along with $2,000 to win and $300 to start Night Two.
