Early exit at KSP

On Saturday afternoon Austin Theiss returned with the DFW Local Late Model Series at Kennedale Speedway Park (Kennedale, Texas) for the $1,000 prize. With 22 Late Models entered, Theiss posted a runner-up finish in his heat behind Tom Earl, pinning him on the second row for the main event. Running into trouble near the midway point of the 25-lapper, Austin was an early retiree on lap 14. (Mike Frieri photo)
