June 15, 2023 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

(Pulaski, PA)... While rain claimed some Friday and Sunday events, it was still another busy weekend for the Hovis Auto & Truck Supply RUSH Racing Series presented by Born2Run Lubricants. Cameron Campbell and Chad Sines captured their career first wins in weekly RUSH Late Model action; meanwhile, Ben Policz and Austin Allen won their first races of the season. Jeremy Wonderling is definitely the man to beat as he swept the weekend for the RUSH Late Model Flynn’s Tire Touring Series this past weekend as the Tour made their first ever visits to both the Marion Center and Knox Raceways. Zain Harvey also claimed his career first RUSH Pro Mod victory in weekly action. Kole Holden remained hot in the RUSH Sportsman Modifieds winning his second straight at Raceway 7.

Chad Sines was able to score his career RUSH Late Model victory Friday evening at Raceway 7 in a convincing manner. Sines was third different winner in as many events at the Conneaut, Ohio oval this season. Breyton Santee edged out Brock Pinkerous, on the final circuit, for second as Pinkerous was third in his first ever race to Raceway 7. Josh Ferry was fourth over T.J. Downs in his first visit of the season.

In the fifth race of the season, Alan Chapman became the first repeat winner in RUSH Late Model action at New York's Skyline Raceway on Friday night. Alan beat out his brother Todd Chapman and Patrick Parker.'

Tyler Hoy and Cameron Campbell led the 21-car field to the green at Winchester Speedway on Saturday with Campbell taking command and going on to score his career first victory in RUSH Late Model action. Hoy, Dale Hollidge, Steve Payne and Travis Campbell completed the top five.

Saturday evening at Genesee Speedway the RUSH Late Model main event went green for the entire 25-lap distance. Bill Holmes led the first 24 laps and at one point extended that lead to 2.1 seconds over second place runner Doug Ricotta. By lap 16, Chad Homan was able to work his way by Ricotta and set his sights on Holmes. On the final lap, Homan drove to the bottom of the speedway to get by Holmes and score a .019 second victory. For Homan it was his second victory at the Batavia, New York track and third overall in City Chevrolet Weekly Series action. A disappointed Holmes finished second with Ricotta in third, Zack Carley finishing fourth and Paul Grigsby fifth.

Brandon Burgoon and Jake Gunn led the RUSH Late Model main event at Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway to the green on Saturday night with Gunn taking the lead. A lap one caution for a Mike Reft spin bunched up the field and when the action resumed fourth place starter Ben Policz claimed the top spot. Gunn ran second until lap 13 when Cole Petrelle got the spot, but he was unable to reel in Policz, who had a straightaway lead by that time. Policz went on to lead the balance of the 20-lap main event and score his first win of the season at the Imperial, Pa. oval. Petrelle, Burgoon, Jack Gunn and Zach Gunn finished in spots two through five respectively.

Aaron Miller led the first seven laps of the RUSH Late Model main event at Woodhull Raceway Saturday evening. A lap seven caution provided Austin Allen with the opportunity needed to take the lead and he set a torrid pace once he was out front. Opening night winner John Waters, who started 10th, used the top side of the speedway to track down Allen and by lap 15 he was just a few car lengths behind the leader. Allen withstood Waters challenges and went on to score his first victory of the 2023 season. Waters settled for the runner-up position with Miller, Brett Marlatt and Jason Knowles following. A good field of 18 cars were on hand, which was the second highest car count of the season.

Andy Michael led the first four circuits of the RUSH Late Model feature at Stateline Speedway before Jason Genco took command. Genco led the next two laps before making contact with a lapped car, spinning, and being sent to the tail. Michael inherited the top spot and went on to tally his second victory of the season at the Busti, New York facility. David Parker claimed second for his season's best finish. Jeff Hoffman did the same in third as he's finished in the top five in all three of his appearances. Randy Hall and Matt Sipes finished fourth and fifth respectively. The 21 cars on hand was actually a season low as Stateline has averaged just over 30 cars for their five completed events this season.

Brandon Weigle tallied win number three Saturday at Tyler County Speedway by easily defeating Brent Trimble. Donnie Dotson, Kyle Thomas and George Casto completed the top five.

Saturday evening, teammates Tom Snyder, Jr. and Joe Martin led the field to the green for the 30-lap Flynn's Tire Tour main event. Martin immediately took the top spot with Brock Pinkerous and Jeremy Wonderling moving to second and third by lap two. By lap eight, Martin put space between himself and the rest of the field but that quickly changed when Wonderling moved into the second spot. Several cautions slowed the main event between laps 11 and 13 before the final 17 laps went caution free. Martin continued to withstand the challenges of Wonderling as the laps clicked off. On the final circuit Wonderling made a pass to get by Martin and then survived a bonsai move by Martin that left him spinning rather than crossing the finish line. Wonderling, a three-time RUSH Champion and the current Tour points leader, took the $3,000 victory in the first ever Tour race at Marion Center. Cody Dawson matched his career best Tour finish to claim the second spot with Pinkerous coming home in third. Josh Ferry and Mike Laughard rounded out the top five.

In spite of threatening weather on Sunday, the Tour competitors headed to the Knox Raceway. Brothers Jeremy and Mike Wonderling led the field to the green however the field got bunched up with Cody Dawson being the only competitor unable to continue and finish the event. Thirty caution free laps were then completed with Jeremy Wonderling leading them all and scoring his third consecutive RUSH Tour victory. Lucas Oil Late Model Rookie of the Year contender and former RUSH Champion, Max Blair, finished second with Mike Wonderling third. Austin Hauser and Colby Beighey completed the top five with their career best Tour finishes.

The lone RUSH Sportsman Modified event this weekend took place Friday evening at Raceway 7. Kole Holden briefly battled Ben Easler for the lead before taking command and cruising to his second consecutive victory at the Conneaut, OH oval. It was Holden's 21st career win in the division, which is third all-time. Easler came home a distant second with JC Boyer, Ayden Cipriano and Bill Cunningham following.

RUSH Pro Mod action at Stateline Speedway saw 2022 "Futures Cup" Champion Zain Harvey score a very popular career first victory by turning back the challenges of veterans Dennis Lunger, Jr. and Steve Dixon. Dixon came home in the runner-up spot with John Woodward, who had his best run of the 2023 season in third. Tyler Oakes and Vaughan Nystrom rounded out the top five.

Sunday evening at Bradford Speedway saw another new winner as Critter Hemphill scored his first RUSH Pro Mod victory of the season. Veterans Al Brewer and Steve Dixon finished second and third respectively. Zain Henry followed up his victory at Stateline with a good fourth place run, and Josh Wilcox came home fifth.

Mother Nature cancelled the racing action at Freedom Raceway, The Hill Speedway and Eriez Speedway. RUSH Late Model competitors had the weekend off at Delaware International Raceway, Potomac Speedway. and Bradford Speedway.

This weekend, weekly RUSH Late Model action is scheduled for Freedom Motorsports Park, Raceway 7, Genesee Speedway, Pittsburgh, PA Motor Speedway, Skyline Raceway, Stateline Speedway, Tyler County Speedway, Woodhull Raceway, Eriez Speedway and Bradford Speedway. Marion Center Raceway is also hosting a special $1,000 to win event for the RUSH Late Models Saturday evening.

Both the Hovis Auto and Truck Supply RUSH Sprint Cars and Sportsman Modifieds will be in action Saturday evening at Sharon Speedway as part of the “Steel Valley Thunder” program. The Sprint Car event will be part of the Sunbelt Rentals Weekly Series Championship, while the Mods will be running part of the Wedge Motorsports "Route 7 Rumble" Series. RUSH Pro Mod action is scheduled at both Stateline Speedway on Saturday and Bradford Speedway on Sunday.
