July 1, 2022 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

(Northern Cambria, PA)...With thunderstorms forecasted throughout the evening hours, Dog Hollow Speedway management made the tough decision to pull the plug on Friday night's Hovis Auto & Truck Supply Flynn's Tire Touring Series event. The forecast does looks great for Saturday's $3,000 to-win "Herb Scott Memorial" at Pittsburgh's PA Motor Speedway. Shortly after the decision was made on Friday at 12:30 p.m., Dog Hollow and RUSH got together and rescheduled Friday's event to Friday, August 5 setting up a doubleheader with Pittsburgh's "Jook George Steel City Classic" the following night (August 6).

"Looking at our remaining schedule as well as Dog Hollow's, rescheduling the event to August 5 was a perfect fit," explained RUSH Director Vicki Emig. "We have always tried to do mainly two and three-race weekends for our Touring teams and with gas prices the way they are this year it's been even more critical. The August 6 weekend was one of the few that wasn't so the Dog Hollow show coming in the night before Pittsburgh again works out great. Branden Lockwich works hard every year to make the 'Jook George Steel City Classic' a great paying event so now this will give additional teams the ability to make a two-race weekend out of it."

On Saturday at Pittsburgh, RUSH registration opens at 3 p.m. with the drivers meeting at 5:35 p.m. Warm-ups are scheduled for 6 p.m. followed by FK Rod Ends "Shock the Clock" Qualifying. Heat races are scheduled for 7 p.m.

Coming up next weekend will be another doubleheader with the second annual "Bill Forney Memorial" for $3,199 to-win on Saturday night (July 9) followed by "Manufacturers Night" presented by MSD Performance at Eriez Speedway on Sunday night (July 10).
