June 30, 2021 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

(Pulaski, PA)...After a highly successful "Bill Emig Memorial" presented by Hovis Auto & Truck Supply at Lernerville Speedway, the Pace Performance RUSH Dirt Late Model Series together with Sweeney Chevrolet Buick GMC is set to resume its Flynn's Tire/Born2Run Lubricants Touring Series this weekend with a doubleheader of events in western Pennsylvania. On Friday night (July 2), the Series will visit Dog Hollow Speedway located near Strongstown for the first time ever with $3,000 on the line and then head to Pittsburgh's PA Motor Speedway in Imperial on Saturday night (July 3) for $2,000 to-win. Warm-ups begin at 6:30 p.m. on Friday night and 6 p.m. on Saturday night.

Friday night will be the richest RUSH Late Model race in history at Dog Hollow, and will pay tribute to a an area legend and his two late sons in the inaugural "Jim Burns Tribute" - "David & James Burns Memorial". The 30-lap feature will pay $3,000 to-win, $250 to-start with a $200 to-win non-qualifier. The Pace Performance RUSH Sprint Cars will also be on the card in a Equipment Rental Options Weekly Series event for the first time ever at Dog Hollow. Jim was a top runner in the old Modified Coupe, Hardtop, Super and Late Model divisions picking up many wins on the Jennerstown and Latrobe circuit, and was inducted into the Jennerstown Speedway Hall of Fame.

Dog Hollow Speedway was one of the first four founding speedways to run Chevrolet Performance Crate Late Models in the Northeast weekly beginning in 2007. The 2021 season is the Indiana County speedplant's 23rd anniversary, which began operating in 1998. After being closed for the latter part of 2019 and all of 2020, Dog Hollow is under the helm of a new management team in 2021, RFR Motorsports, which brings years of racing knowledge and business experience. The RFR partnership includes western Pennsylvania residents Mark McClellan and Kyle Smith, Sr. The track has been re-clayed as the new surface features 250 tri-axle loads of new clay around the spacious 4/10-mile oval.

Thus far this season, Dog Hollow has completed five Pace Performance Weekly Series events with Joe Martin and Kyle Hardy both victorious twice, while Michael Duritsky, Jr. also picked up a victory. Duritsky leads the "Track Pack" points.

Saturday night will mark the first of four 2021 appearances at the "Monster Half-Mile". The 30-lap "Herb Scott Memorial" feature will pay $2,000 to-win, $225 to-start with a $200 to-win non-qualifier. The "Jook George Steel City Classic" on August 7 (rain date August 8) and the "Bill Hendren Memorial" on October 1-2 are also on the Tour's 2021 schedule for PPMS. The Pace RUSH Sportsman Modifieds will also be on the card on Saturday night in a Hovis Auto & Truck Supply Weekly Series event.

Herb Scott is one of the most well-known and respected driver who ever raced in western Pa. His side-by-side battles with Joe Mihalic were nothing short of legendary. Ten times during his hall of fame career, Scott won the track championship at Heidelberg (1956-1960, 1962-1965, and 1967). His first win came in his first year of racing at New Kensington Speedway in 1948. His 500th win came at Lernerville Speedway, and his final feature win came at Schmucker’s Speedway in September of 1979. He would go on to win a total of 520 career features!

There have been 18 Tour events completed at Pittsburgh with 11 different winners all-time. Kyle Lukon leads the list with five including a sweep of all three events in 2019. Ryan Montgomery, who has moved on to Super Late Models, has three wins, while the only other repeat winner is track regular Daryl Charlier with two. Single wins go to Tommy Schirnhofer, Jr., Colton Flinner, John Mollick, Mike Pegher, Jr., Jacob Hawkins, Garret Paugh, Michael Norris, and Levi Crowl.

Like Dog Hollow, Pittsburgh has also completed five Pace Performance Weekly Series events this season. Charlier is the only repeat winner with a pair of victories, which Lukon, Dan Lepro, and Zach Morrow have also been victorious. The wins for Lepro and Morrow were their first career RUSH Late Model victories!

"We're looking forward to a great doubleheader weekend," expressed RUSH Director Vicki Emig. "It's great to have Dog Hollow back running the RUSH Late Models weekly. Kyle and Mark stepped up to not only host the first ever RUSH Tour event at Dog Hollow, but are paying the $3,000 to-win purse and are bringing in our RUSH Sprint Cars for the first time. Meanwhile, the Mileys are huge supporters of RUSH as they are again hosting four RUSH Late Model Tour events, and with Sharon Speedway closed on Saturday night are giving our RUSH Sportsman Modifieds another opportunity to race on the Monster Half-Mile."

Thus far this year, the Flynn's Tire/Born2Run Lubricants Touring Series has completed seven events with an average car count of just over 42 per event! The Tour is coming off a season high 54-car count at Lernerville, which saw Mark Whitener win $10,000 for local car owner Dirk Neal.

Virginia racer Kyle Hardy leads the way with four wins including a sweep of the "Battle of the Bay" Speedweek plus a victory in his first Eriez Speedway start. Hardy sits atop the standings of both the $12,000 to-win Tour and the $5,000 to-win Pace Performance Weekly Series Championships. Hardy's Tour points lead has grown to 49 over defending three-time champion Jeremy Wonderling, who has won both Tour races in New York this year.

Joe Martin trails Wonderling by only four points as he's strung together four top five Tour finishes in the last five shows and is coming off a season best third at Lernerville. Kyle Lukon, who finished second in the 2019 Tour points losing to Wonderling by just one-point, enters fourth in points with five top nine finishes. Duritsky is fifth as he's finished in the top six in three of the last four events. Completing the top 10 in Tour points are J.J. Mazur, Bud Watson, Ryan Frazee, John Waters, and Logan Zarin.

Precise Racing Products will award a $100 gift card for the "Pedal Down" Hard Charger that passes the most cars in the feature each night. The TBM Brakes “Tough Brake of the Night” will award three bottles of Xtreme6 Racing Brake Fluid valued at approximately $45 along with a certificate for a discount off any TBM Brakes purchase.

The feature winner each night will receive a 5-Gallon Race Jug from Precise. Ontime Body & Graphic's "Spoiler Alert" will award a $150 spoiler kit to the eighth place finisher on night one and the ninth place finisher on night two (note: if a driver has already won a spoiler this season, spoiler will be awarded to the next position).
