ASCS Elite Outlaw Sprints Headlining Wild Bill Shootout At Heart O’ Texas Speedway

WACO, Texas (July 16, 2024) A change for the 2024 season, the MYCO Plastics ASCS Elite Outlaw Sprint Series will headline the Wild Bill Shootout at Heart O’ Texas Speedway in Waco on Friday, July 19.

A wingless over the past six iterations of the annual tribute to Bill White with the ASCS Elite Non-Wing Series presented by Abilene Powder Coating; winners include Justin Melton (2018 and 2019), Kyle Jones (2020), Paul White (2021), Justin Zimmerman (2022), and Keith Martin (2023).

Just under a month since the tour’s last visit on June 21, Cody Gardner captured his third career victory with the series in dramatic fashion over Marcus Thomas with a last corner pass that netted the win by a mere 0.054-seconds at the line.

Blaine Baxter leads tour standings going into Friday's event by only six markers over Marcus Thomas. Third is held by Austin Mundie, with Brett Becker and Cody Gardner to make up the top five.

Friday, July 19, at Heart O' Texas, opens at 6:00 p.m. Hot Laps at 7:30 p.m. and racing at 8:00 p.m. (CDT). Tickets are $20 for adults, $15 for seniors and military, $10 for youth (6-12), and free for kids five and under. Pits are $35. Friday’s event includes IMCA Stock Cars, IMCA Southern Sport Mods, Outlaw Street Stocks, and Factory Stocks.
