CASPER, Wyo. (May 28, 2024) The first meeting of the 2024 season between the ASCS Northern Plains and ASCS Western Plains Regions is set for this Friday, May 31, and Saturday, June 1, at Wyoming’s Casper Speedway.

Initially set to square off at Lincoln County Raceway in Nebraska in April, the event fell to adverse weather, making this weekend’s Wyoming double the third round of the season for the ASCS Western Plains Region and the season opener for the ASCS Northern Plains.

Split between Nick Haygood and Austyn Gossel during last year’s event, chasing National Tour points will keep Gossel in Kansas this weekend. Adam Trimble leads Western Plains standings by 15 markers going into the weekend over Bradley Cox, with Ryan Rader in third. Glen Brace and Gray Land make up the top five.

Friday, May 31, and Saturday, June 1, open at 5:00 P.M., with racing at 7:00 P.M. (MDT). Tickets per night are $20 for adults, $15 for seniors, military, and first responders, and free for kids 12 and under.

Casper Speedway is a half-mile oval located at 1277 Amoco Rd. Information on the track is online at https://www.facebook.com/CSpeedway or by calling (307) 267-8475. Eddie Kirchoff is the head of the ASCS Northern Plains Region and can be reached via email at blackhillsspeedway@gmail.com or by phone at (307) 660-8866.

The 2024 season marks the 33rd season of competition for the American Sprint Car Series. Spearheaded by the American Sprint Car Series National Tour, the ASCS Nation includes Regional Tours encompassing Wing and Non-Wing competition.
