Hafertepe Takes Win No. 13 With Pipeline MD ASCS Gulf South Region

KILGORE, Texas (May 25, 2024) Collecting his 13th career victory with the Pipeline MD ASCS Gulf South Region, Sam Hafertepe, Jr. rolled into Victory Lane at Lonestar Speedway in Kilgore, Texas, on Saturday night.

The track, which was previously owned by his family, Hafertepe's only other Sprint Car win at the high-banked three-eights-mile oval came during their ownership in 2015 with the former ASCS Lone Star Region.

Besting a field of 20, Hafertepe was chased to the line by Matt Covington with Colby Stubblefield taking the show position. Bradley Fezard crossed fourth with Eric Baldaccini rolling from tenth to complete the top-five.

The Pipeline MD ASCS Gulf South Region is back at Lonestar Speedway for the weekend's second round of action on Sunday, May 26.

Lonestar Speedway is located at 3131 Farm to Market Rd 1252 EW in Kilgore, Texas. More information on the track can be found on the track’s Facebook Page.

The 2024 season marks the 33rd season of competition for the American Sprint Car Series. Spearheaded by the American Sprint Car Series National Tour, the ASCS Nation includes Regional Tours encompassing Wing and Non-Wing competition.
