Bryan Hulbert – MESQUITE, Texas (September 5, 2023) Going toe-to-toe this weekend against the USAC AMSOIL Sprint Car National Championship, the ASCS Elite Non-Wing Series presented by Abilene Powder Coating will head for the Devil’s Bowl Speedway in Mesquite, Texas on Thursday, September 7, then Texarkana 67 Speedway in Texarkana, Ark. on Friday, September 8, and Saturday, September 9.

Thursday’s visit to the Devil’s Bowl is the first time the USAC AMSOIL Sprint Car National Championship has been in Texas since 1985 and the first time the series will scatter soil at the Devil’s Bowl. For the ASCS Elite Non-Wing Series presented by Abilene Powder Coating, this will be the second time this season. At the half-mile-oval on August 5, Justin Zimmerman topped the Johnny Suggs Classic.

Originally scheduled for April, Mother Nature moved the Devil’s Bowl date and the Texarkana event into September.

A decade since the USAC AMSOIL Sprint Car National Championship has been in Arkansas, the two-night showdown at Texarkana 67 Speedway on Friday and Saturday will culminate in a $ 10,000-to-win showdown.

Running under USAC rules and format, the events this weekend will award 100 how-up points to each competitor.

The MYCO Plastics ASCS Elite Outlaw Sprints will also be in action at Texarkana 67 Speedway on Saturday, September 9. The series will run under normal format and rules, with full points awarded for the winged event. The winner’s share is $2,000.

Thursday at the Devil's Bowl Speedway opens at 6:00 P.M. with racing at 8:30 P.M. (CDT). Tickets are $25 for adults, and $10 for kids 12 and under. Reserved seating, add $5. Pits are $35. Combo Reserved Seat and Pit Pass is $45. Factory Stocks and Limited Modifieds will also be on the card.
