ASCS Elite Non-Wing Headed For Lubbock and Amarillo

Bryan Hulbert – LUBBOCK, Texas (July 22, 2020) Looking at a double shot of soil scattering action this weekend, the ASCS Elite Non-Wing Series presented by Abilene Powder Coating will take on West Texas Raceway in Lubbock on Friday, July 24 and Route 66 Motor Speedway in Amarillo on Saturday, July 25.

Teams will be racing for $2,000 to win, $300 on Friday night along with bonus draws in the A-Feature from All Import and GlassTech. Non transferring drivers will receive $100.

The payout Saturday is $3,300 to win, $200 to start with non-transferring drivers getting $150. Heat Race winners will also get $100 from All Import. The Pole Shuffle is presented by Gray Floyd Homes and pays $150 to win, $100 for second, then $75, $50, $40, $30. The person who finishes the highest having advanced three or more positions gets a $200 bonus.

Co-Sanctioned with the Colorado-based ASCS Elite North Series, the two-night showdown was topped by Kyle Jones (West Texas Raceway) and Wyatt Burks (Route 66 Motor Speedway) in 2019 with an overall field of 46 drivers from 38 municipalities across seven states making the journey.

Friday, July 24 at West Texas Raceway opens at 6:00 P.M. with racing underway at 8:00 P.M. (CT). Additional classes include Street Stocks, Junior Cyclones, USRA Stock Cars, and USRA Limited Modifieds. West Texas Raceway is located at 12503 Highway 87 in Lubbock, Texas. Moving to Saturday, July 25, gates at Route 66 Motor Speedway open at 5:30 P.M. with racing at 7:00 P.M. (CT). Admission is $15 for adults, $12 for Seniors, and $5 for Youth. Along with the ASCS Elite Non-Wing Series presented by Abilene Powder Coating, the evening will also include Modifieds and Sport Mods. Route 66 Motor Speedway is located at 4101 TX-335 Loop in Amarillo, Texas. Info on the panhandle oval can be found at http://www.route66motorspeedway.net.
