Caleb Martin Tops ASCS Gulf South At South Texas Speedway

Bryan Hulbert – CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas (September 1, 2018) Collecting $2,000 at South Texas Speedway, Caleb Martin added his name the winner’s list Saturday night with the Griffith Truck and Equipment ASCS Gulf South Region.

The first time Martin has topped the ASCS Gulf South Region, the driver of the No. 51 is the 63rd driver to do so. If he can sweep the weekend, he’ll pick up a $1,000 bonus for a potential $6,000 weekend.

Winning from the pole, the Angleton, Texas racer beat out current series point’s leader, Channin Tankersley for the win. Tucker Doughty crossed third with Michael McNeil and Dustin Gates making up the top-five.

Chris Sweeney, Cody Stacy, Bruce Crockett, Cody Tankersley, and Mike Vaculik fill out the top ten.

Racing continues Sunday, September 2 at South Texas Speedway. Admission is $20. Seniors and Military $15 with Kids 10 and under admitted free into the grandstands.
