Inside Line Promotions – GREENWOOD, Neb. (Oct. 6, 2016) – Jamie Ball made the trip to I-80 Speedway last Saturday for the Midwest Fall Brawl V with the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour.

“The Fall Brawl had a unique format,” he said. “It featured a format of two sets of heat races and two dashes.”

The White Lightning Motorsports driver finished seventh after starting ninth in the first set of heat races. For the second set of heat races, Ball led from the green to white flag of his heat race before being passed on the final lap to ultimately finish second.

“We had a decent first heat race and led all but the last lap of the second heat race,” he said.

After passing and finishing points were calculated, Ball was relegated to start third in the first B Main of the evening. He finished second, earning a transfer into the main event. Ball took the green flag of the Midwest Fall Brawl V in the 19th starting position and he was able to gain a few positions to finish 16th.

“The car felt decent, but come A Main time a few of the changes we made just didn’t work out,” he said. “We’re learning a lot from these ASCS National Tour guys and it should really better our program for 2017.”

Ball is scheduled to head to I-30 Speedway in Little Rock, Ark., this Saturday in preparation for the Short Track Nationals next month. Ball and the White Lightning Motorsports team will be tackling this weekend with a new crew chief, Ricky Logan, who will be with the team for the remainder of the season.

“I’m really looking forward to having Ricky on board with the No. 5j and White Lightning Motorsports, especially with him debuting with us at his home track,” Ball said.
