Covington Ready to Roll Tonight For the 2016 Arnold Motor Supply 360 Nationals
CG Motorsports- Glenpool, Ok. (Aug 3, 2016) Matt Covington and crew are prepped and ready to roll for their qualifying night tonight at the famed Knoxville Raceway for the Arnold Motor Supply 360 Nationals.
“We are very optimistic and excited to get this weekend’s racing underway,” stated Covington. “We left home a couple months back and after a mixed bag of results, I am glad to be sitting here at one of my favorite tracks with a chance to end this swing on a high note. I really think we had the team and equipment to run in the top-5 all last month. But, due to circumstances and bad luck, we have had to settle for some finishes outside the top-5. We were really fast last weekend and were rolling good at Badlands before we got crashed. We had worked ourselves into 3rd and, for whatever reason, the guy just dived the corner and drove straight into our left rear, tearing the shock off. It was unfortunate and killed the solid night we had going. We had finally figured out what was making us off setup wise and discovered a faulty left rear shock. Everything is fresh for this weekend and we got the shock deal ironed out, so I am really confident and looking forward to tonight. If we can have a solid qualifying night tonight, then it will set us up for a successful 360 Nationals followed by what I hope to be a great Capitani Classic on Sunday at this famed Knoxville Raceway.”
