Tankersley Traveling to Timberline Speedway Saturday for ASCS Red River Race

Inside Line Promotions – HIGHLANDS, Texas (Sept. 29, 2015) – Channin Tankersley will make his season debut at Timberline Speedway this Saturday.

Tankersley will pilot a Bruce Griffith owned entry during the ASCS Red River Region event at the 3/8-mile oval in Corley, Texas, for the second straight year.

“Our goal is to go there and win,” he said. “What we put together with Bruce is pretty similar to my program. I’m pretty confident we can come out of the box and be fast. The biggest thing is to get a good, clean run in. If we can finish in the top five I’d be pretty happy.”

Tankersley made his debut at Timberline Speedway in June 2014, when he finished second in a heat race to miss the feature redraw by only one spot. He then charged to a fourth-place result after lining up ninth for the main event.

“I remember the track was really slick,” he said. “It was pretty wide and you could race on it well.”

Tankersley has driven for Griffith once this season. The duo rallied from 14th to eighth on Sept. 12 at Texas Motor Speedway Dirt Track in Fort Worth, Texas, with the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour.
