Hockett/McMillin Memorial to feature Saturday Kick-it Game
Bryan Hulbert - TULSA, Okla. (September 19, 2013) The annual tribute to Jesse Hockett and Daniel McMillin at the Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Mo. will be for more than just honoring our fallen friends in 2013 as the Hockett family have arranged for a Kick-it for Kids Cancer game to be played on Saturday, September 28.
Five teams have been formed:
Jesse’s Team (Drivers)
Daniel’s Team (Crew Members)
ASCS
WAR Sprints
Hockett/McMillin Team (Family)
Game time is set for 1:00 P.M. (CT) just outside the Pit Gate of the “Diamond of Dirt Tracks” going as far as 3:00 P.M. Anyone wishing to play needs to report no later than 12:30 P.M.
Scotty Cook will serve as Master of Ceremonies. The Hockett Family is asking anyone who wishes to sponsor a team or contribute to the silent auction to please contact Bobbie Sue Nichols at Rocketracing75@yahoo.com or to call 816-820-2411. In the month of September, every dollar raised will be matched by Jeff Gordon.
The Hockett/McMillin Memorial is scheduled for Friday, September 27 and Saturday September 28 at the Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Mo featuring the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series presented by MAVTV, Speedway Motors Warrior Region, and Impact 4800 WAR Sprint Cars.
