Lucas Oil ASCS Eagle Nationals flooded out
Bryan Hulbert - EAGLE, Neb. (May 31, 2013) Nearly a foot of rain has fallen at the Eagle Raceway in Eagle, Neb. this week, causing the track’s drainage system to collapse and backfill the infield with an estimated 300,000 gallons of water; effectively flooding out the June 1 Hinchman Racewear Eagle Nationals.
Without enough time, or available equipment to pull the water off of, and away from the racing surface, event promoter Tony Bruce, Jr. is currently looking for a new date for the Eagle Nationals. The new date could be announced in the coming weeks.
The image associated with this story only shows a small part of the infield going into turns three and four where water is standing on the bottom groove of the Eagle Raceway.
Updates regarding new dates will be posted to http://www.ascsracing.com as well as http://www.tbjpromotions.com
