July Opens with Lucas Oil ASCS Midwest Trio

Bryan Hulbert - Tulsa, Oklahoma (July 1, 2012) Coming off a pair of night in Little Rock, Arkansas the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series presented by MAVTV being their trek to the north with a trio of Midwest stops to kick off the month of July.

Absent since Gary Wright’s win during their inaugural visit in 2005, the Lucas Oil ASCS presented by MAVTV returns to U.S. 36 Raceway in Cameron, Missouri for race twenty-five of the 2012 season on Tuesday July 3rd for the first annual U.S. 36 Nationals presented by TBJ Promotions and Racinboys.com.

Described by event promoter Tony Bruce Jr. as “Eagle Raceway on steroids” the high banked 3/8 mile clay oval is well known for slide-jobs along and blistering lap times with its staggering twenty-one degrees of banking that moves up nearly ninety feet of racing surface.

Next on the docket will be the Lucas Oil ASCS presented by MAVTV’s inaugural visit to Rapid Speedway in Rock Rapids, Iowa. A fixture at the Lyon County Fairgrounds, the semi-banked 3/8 mile oval will feature round twenty-six of the 2012 championship hunt on Friday July 6th.

The first week of July will cap off with the Lucas Oil ASCS presented by MAVTV returning to action at Hartford, South Dakota’s I-90 Speedway on Saturday July 7th with race twenty-seven of the season. Absent on the 2011 schedule of events, four previous visits has yielded four different winners with Jason Johnson debuting the National Tour with a win in 2007 followed by Tony Bruce Jr. (2008), Gary Wright (2009), and Shane Stewart (2010).

Events at U.S. 36 Raceway will be partnered with the Speedway Motors ASCS Midwest and Warrior Region. The Speedway Motors ASCS Midwest Region will finish out the weeks with the Lucas Oil ASCS presented by MAVTV at Rapid Speedway and I-90 Speedway.
