ALAN BOOKMILLER SCORES FIRST ROC SPORTSMAN SERIES VICTORY THIS PAST SATURDAY AT WYOMING COUNTY INTERNATIONAL SPEEDWAY “THE BULLRING”

Alan Bookmiller of Castile, NY, inherited the lead after a late race restart and went on to win his first Race of Champions Sportsman Modified Series at Wyoming County International Speedway “The Bullring” this past Saturday evening.

“This is incredible,” stated an excited Bookmiller in victory lane. “It’s just me and my Dad and we’ve been getting better. We work hard at it. This is just exciting for us and I don’t think it’s sunk in yet. Winning at your home track is great. Winning with the Race of Champions feels even better.”

Jacob Christman of Walnutport, PA., captured finished third.

Andrew Lewis, Jr., of Ontario, NY posted the fastest recorded time in the final practice session, which was used for qualifying times due to the inclement weather. Lewis, Jr., Majchrzak and Kevin Timmerman of Ontario, NY, won the qualifying races.
