RYAN PREECE HERO CARD GIVEAWAY AS PART OF TRIBUTE TO “POPS” LEATY AT SPENCER SPEEDWAY ON FRIDAY, AUGUST 31

The first 500 fans that enter the gate on Friday night August 31 for the Tribute to “Pops” Leaty 75 will receive a commemorative hero card that will be used in lieu of an event program. A unique design in honor of the event and Ryan Preece in competition will be handed out to the lucky recipients as they enter the facility. The card will also carry the potential entry rosters for each division on the back. The design is a collaboration with art work coming from “Juice.Box” Motorsports Designs, based in Elma, N.Y., and printed by the Official Printer of the Race of Champions, Printed Image of Buffalo, New York.

The Race of Champions Tribute to “Pops” Leaty 75 for the Asphalt Modified Series in their only visit of 2018 to the historic Williamson, N.Y., oval. Last season, Patrick Emerling of Orchard Park, N.Y., won in both Series appearances at Spencer.

“We’re definitely looking forward to Friday night,” stated Emerling. “It’s going to be a good show. I like Spencer, it’s a challenging race track and it definitely makes you get the elbows up and drive your racecar. The competition in this series is tough and it won’t be any different on Friday night, we hope to see everyone there.”

In addition to Preece and the stars of the Series, multi-time Series champion and five-time and defending Race of Champions 250 winner Matt Hirschman of Northampton, Pa., has now cast his intentions of running at Spencer on Friday.

The Race of Champions Asphalt Modified Series will be joined by the Race of Champions Four Cylinder Dash Series and Lancaster National Speedway Type Street Stocks to fill out the action packed night of racing. Qualifying race winners will be receiving a $50 gift certificate courtesy of F/A Products (www.faproducts.com) in the Street Stock and Modified division.

Due to a contractual term between the track owner and speedway concession provider the food trucks, as originally stated will not be able to take part in the event.

Cavallaro-Neubauer Chevrolet Buick will present victory lane for the Modified race and have vehicles on display with information available in the midway or you can visit; www.cavneub-williamson.com.

The Sodus Microd club will have a display as well a brief demonstration prior to the feature racing action.

The event night is being presented by Rochester Steel Treating Works, Inc. (www.rstwinc.com) and Cavallaro-Neubauer Chevrolet and Buick.

The gates open at 5 pm at Spencer Speedway for fans with racing to follow at 7 pm. General Admission tickets for the event are just $22, with a Senior and Military ticket being $19 (adult $2 coupons are available for the event throughout the region); Children 6-11 years of age are $8 and children 5 and under are free.
