USAC WSO MAKES MONARCH DOUBLEHEADER DEBUT FRI./SAT.
Wichita Falls, Texas.........USAC Wingless Sprints Oklahoma makes its Monarch Motor Speedway debut this weekend, Friday, Sept. 6 and Saturday, Sept. 7, at the Wichita Falls, Texas track for rounds nine and ten of the 2019 season.
The series has ventured outside its namesake home state once this year, with Danny Smith (Sand Springs, Okla.) taking the checkered flag, one of two drivers to reach victory lane with the series twice this season along with Andrew Deal (Caney, Kans.).
Smith leads the standings by a relatively narrow 17 point margin over reigning USAC WSO champ Brett Wilson (Coweta, Okla.), followed by Johnny Kent (Kiefer, Okla.), Cameron Hagin (Broken Arrow, Okla.) and Waylon Weaver (Claremore, Okla.).
Larry's Marine Center had added additional sponsorship to the program, which pays $1,000 to win and $200 to start each night.
USAC WSO will be joined this weekend by POWRi West Midgets, RaceSaver 305 Sprints and Lonestar Dwarf Cars. Gates open at 6pm (Central), grandstands at 6:30pm, USAC/WSO drivers meeting at 7:30pm both nights. On Friday, hot laps begin at 8pm with racing at 8:30pm. On Saturday, hot laps are slated to start at 6:30pm.
General admission tickets are $20, Seniors and Military are $12, children age 6-11 are $5 and kids 5 and under are free. Pit passes are $35 apiece.

EAST COAST SPRINT CHAMP TO BE CROWNED IN DELAWARE FINALE
Delmar, Delaware.........A champion will be crowned at the USAC Rapid Tire East Coast Sprint Car season finale this Saturday, September 7, at Delaware International Speedway in Delmar, Delaware.
Point leader Steven Drevicki (Reading, Pa.) sits in the driver's seat of the standings with a 67-point lead entering Saturday's race and is gunning for a second consecutive series title.
Chris Allen, Jr. (Wrightstown, N.J.) won the most recent series visit to the track back in April, the lone win of the year for the driver who stands third in the standings behind point leader Steven Drevicki (Reading, Pa.) and Eddie Strada (Lake Ariel, Pa.), who won the series' most recent event in August at Bedford, Pa., his second victory of the year.
Drevicki won at Delaware in 2018 and ran 4th in April while Strada ran 3rd. Old Bridge, New Jersey's Bill Unglert (10th in points) took the runner up spot behind Allen in April while Carlisle, Pennsylvania's Chandler Leiby (4th in points) rounded out the top-five.
Gates open at 5pm Eastern with hot laps set for 6:45pm. Adult general admission tickets are $20 while kids age 13 and under are free. Pit passes are $25 apiece.

SPEED2 MIDGETS SLING DIRT IN ILLINOIS AND VERMONT SATURDAY
Speedway, Indiana (September 3, 2019).........A pair of USAC Speed2 Midget series are in action this Saturday night, September 7, in the states of Illinois and Vermont.
The Engler IMRA series makes its 11th trip of the season to Spoon River Speedway in Canton, Ill. Saturday for the 3rd annual 24-lap Aaron Hull Memorial. Five of point leader Andy Baugh's six season wins have come at Spoon River. Baugh (Mason City, Ill.) won the most recent series event Monday at Spoon River.
Baugh leads the standings in search of a second consecutive IMRA title, entering Saturday's race with a commanding 110-point lead over Tyler Roth (Springfield, Ill.) with just four races remaining in the 2019 season.
The penultimate round of the USAC DMA Speed2 Midget season comes to Bear Ridge Speedway in Bradford, Vermont this Saturday in the series' 10th visit of the year. Seth Carlson (Brimfield, Mass.) has captured three of his four DMA victories this season at Bear Ridge but stands third in the standings behind three-time Bear Ridge winner Will Hull (Plainfield, Vt.) and Joe Krawiec (Granby, Conn.), who remains on the hunt for his first triumph of the year. Hull leads the points by 48 markers heading in.
On Saturday at Spoon River, gates open at 3pm Central, grandstands at 5pm, hot laps at 6pm and racing at 7pm. Adult general admission is $25, kids 10 and under are $5 and pit passes are $40. MOWA Sprint Cars, POWRi National Midgets and DirtCar Modifieds are in action along with the IMRA Speed2 Midgets.
Saturday at Bear Ridge, pits open at 3pm Eastern, gates open at 3pm and racing at 6pm. Adult general admission tickets are $10, students 12-17 are $8, seniors 62+ are $8, kids 11 and under are $2 and pit passes are $25 apiece for members and $30 for non-members. Sabil & Sons DIRTcar Sportsman Modifieds, Wells River Chevrolet DIRTcar Sportsman Coupes, C.A. Miller Limited Late Models and Peanuts Auto Four Cylinders join the DMA Speed2 Midgets.
