Jackson Versus Jordan: It All Comes Down to This
West Allis, WI (September 18th, 2024) - one hundred and twenty five days from start to finish, fourteen nights of hard racing, sixty four drivers all vying for one spot and it all comes down to two. The battle between Jackson Lewis and Jordan Miklas has been one for the history books, and this coming Saturday at Beaver Dam Raceway, an inaugural Midwest Legends Dirt Series champion will be crowned.
The season comes down to the final race of the season. Lewis has taken eight of the thirteen features with Jordan Miklas on two wins this season. Miklas was able to keep the championship alive after a good finish at 141 Speedway this previous Saturday. Lewis picked up the Beaver Dam Raceway weekly championship this recent Tuesday and is looking to go two for two in championships this season. For the driver of the #44M, Miklas needs some additional help if he has any hope of picking up the championship.
Lewis leads the points with 1273 while Miklas trails by 86 points at 1187. Ryan Sullivan comfortably has third-place locked down as long as he is able to start the feature. Michael Weber and Hayden Schmuhl are locked in a war for fourth. Weber sits on 1059 points with Schmuhl on 1040, only 19 points behind. Dallas Ross is somewhat by himself in sixth on 976 with Brady Ascherien and Adan Zellmer in the same boat on 946 points and 913 points respectively. Looking at ninth through twelfth is where the battle is. Talyn Neuman sits on 772 with Charlie Spoonmore only 10 points behind in tenth at 762 points. Lilly Fassbender and Nate Wolbers are right behind, tied on 761. Keep an eye on the battle for those final two top ten spots as the night evolves.
On Saturday the pits are set to open at 3:30pm and grandstand gates at 4:00pm. Racing is set to start at 6:30pm. Four other classes of racing will be present on the card. All action will be able to be watched on DirtVision if you can’t make it to the track.
