Bobby Carrier Sr. Tribute Race Rescheduled for Friday May 26 at Ponderosa Speedway

JUNCTION CITY, KY (April 23, 2023)—Officials with the Valvoline Iron-Man Late Model Series and Ponderosa Speedway have announced a makeup date for the Bobby Carrier Sr. Tribute event that was originally scheduled for April 21. The event will be run on Friday May 26, paying $7,500-to-win for the Northern and Southern tours of the Valvoline Iron-Man Late Model Series. This sets up a doubleheader weekend with the Northern & Southern tours as they will visit Lake Cumberland Speedway in Burnside, Ky. on Saturday May 27 for the 6th Annual Johnny Wheeler Memorial paying $7,531-to-win. This also sets up a tripleheader of action with the Southern tour as they will visit Tazewell (Tenn.) Speedway on Sunday May 28 for the 5th Annual Melvin Corum Memorial paying $5,001-to-win.

On Friday May 26 at Ponderosa Speedway during the Bobby Carrier Sr. Tribute race, the Crate Late Models will compete for $1,500-to-win, the Open Wheel Modifieds will race for $1,000-to-win, the Super Stocks will race for $909-to-win and the Mini Stocks will race for $500-to-win. American Roofing Company has posted a free racing tire to the fast time in each division that night.
