Belleville, IL. (12/06/2022) Ramping up the excitement surrounding the return of indoor action at the speedy Southern Illinois Center on December 17th, POWRi will honor one of the region’s most admired racing legends with the restoration of the Junior Knepper 55. Increasing the entry list as the event looms witnesses a plethora of capable Hoosier State talents attempting to return to Indiana victorious from DuQuoin.

Joining the list of duo-league winners, Kyle Cummins(Princeton) fresh off winning a POWRi National Midget feature at Macon Speedway to back the trio of WAR victories from 2018 will next set his sights on an indoor victory by adding his name to the Junior Knepper 55 registry.

Finding accomplished drivers from multiple disciplines of racing all residing from the crossroads capital will see Rylan Gray(Greenfield), Joey Paxson(Connersville), Aaron Sanders(Celestine), Cody Beard(Huntingburg), Adam Taylor(Demotte), Wes Pinkerton(Reynolds), Corbin Gurley(Hebron), Christopher Dickey(Westfield), Chris Baue(Beech Grove), Jacob Boxwell(Yoder), Ashton Thompson(Salem), Travis Berryhill(Brownsburg), Kayla Roell(Dillsboro), and Chad Boespflug(Lebanon) all vying for the top prize of $5000 to win in the return of the Junior Knepper 55 at DuQuoin.

Growing the list of entries, competitors from all around begin to strategize their battle plans on the mini-magic-mile with the Lucas Oil POWRi National Midget League. Will a top-talent of Indiana ride out of Illinois on a superior advantage of winning momentum in the return of the Junior Knepper 55 at DuQuoin on December 17th?

The “Junior Knepper 55”, a 55-lap race honoring the famed car number which adorned Walter Knepper’s storied career, will feature the Lucas Oil POWRi National Midget League competing on a specially-constructed dirt oval inside the well-known Southern Illinois Center near the DuQuoin Fairgrounds with no other support classes on the racing docket.
