James Redus Reigns Supreme in Inaugural POWRi Pure Stock National Championship

Belleville, IL. (11/3/22) Concluding the demanding and devoted seasonal stretch of competition while honoring the inaugural champion, the POWRi Pure Stock Division would find the dominating driving performance of James Redus take center stage by perfecting the season with a resounding flawless score on the title-clinching year.

“As soon as I heard that POWRi was sanctioning pure stocks it woke me up again. I love racing, and really enjoy the pure stock class. I’ve won track championships and did not want to go down that road again so POWRi really made racing fun. I could race anywhere I wanted and it counted. We planned to hit the 2022 season hard by trying to only race POWRi events at tracks with good car counts and of course, we wanted to win at least 20 races,” stated the newly crowned champion, James Redus.

Driving the Price Electric, Tim’s Lawnmowing Snowplowing & Landscaping, Watson Metal Masters, Ash Grove Dump Trucking, Comers Auto Xpress, Miller Express, Sheldon’s Custom Muffler, R&R Graphics, Bud’s Tire & Wheel, Show-Me-Dirt, MT Salvage, and Race to Save #34, Redus would nearly win every-other time the car was unloaded with an astonishing twenty wins on the season in his forty-four seasonal starts with forty-two top-ten performances, thirty by-way of top-five finishes.

“The 2022 POWRi pure stock Top-5 is complete with very serious competitors all winning plenty of races and all track championships winning drivers. Being the 2022 Inaugural POWRi Pure Stock National Champion is definitely a dream come true through lots of hard work and help from family friends and our amazing sponsors,” added the victorious Redus.

Securing the first-ever POWRi Pure Stock National Championship honor, James Redus(Springfield, MO) would win the championship by a slim sixty-point margin over Grayson McKiney(Springfield, MO) who placed second with Tyler Knudtson(Lebanon, MO.) close ending the year only seventy-points back finishing third.

“Thanks to POWRi and all the tracks who started something amazing for our class it looks like 2023 is going to be huge for POWRi Pure Stocks. For 2023, we will have a new pure stock we are planning on taking it to display at the Ozark area racers reunion on February 4th,” said Redus about his upcoming racing plans.

James Redus, among other POWRi Champions, will be honored at the Annual POWRi Championship Banquet on Saturday, January 21 at Margaritaville Lake Resort in Osage Beach, Missouri.
