Sivia Wins Bill Grogan Memorial

The Kenosha County Fair has become synonymous with high paying races for the IRA. This is true not only for the winged 410s but also for the Wisconsin wingLESS, as Saturday night, with the bright lights of the midway shining, 41 teams took to Wilmot Raceway for the richest purse in Wisconsin wingLESS history.
Saturday night honored a longtime supporter of the IRA and Southeastern Wisconsin racing. Known for his $100 hand shakes, the former owner of Beach Park Freight Lines, Bill Grogan could always be found helping out teams in the pit area.
With big money on the line, Tim Cox, a former series champion, fired the first shot towards victory as he claimed fast time honors and an extra $100 courtesy of Jessica Sivia Scentsy. Heat race action saw drivers competing not only for a spot in the top 5 rows of the A main with a victory, but also for an added $100 to win. Ryan Zielski claimed heat 1 and $100 from Johnny’z Pour House. Rusty Egan was victorious in heat 2 earning him $100 thanks to Goodwin Performance, while Ryan Marshall claimed the extra $100 in heat 3 courtesy of M3 Custom Creations. The 4th and final heat race, and $100 prize from Brew City Variety was claimed by Jimmy Sivia.
Next on the night was the B main, to lock in the final 4 starters in the Bill Grogan Memorial. Tate Hensley claimed the victory, locking into the 20 lap A main. Thanks to many sponsors, the b main non transfer drivers all saw an increased payout, much like the A main drivers would.
CJ Malueg and Jimmy Sivia started on the front row of the A main, in front of a packed Wilmot Raceway grandstand. Sivia took the early lead, while drivers starting mid to back of the A main began their marches to the front. perennial contenders Rusty Egan and Greg Olson drove from 7th and 11th respectively, onto podium positions, the pair challenged Sivia, but the Grand Appliance 91 proved to be too strong, claiming the victory worth $2,000 thanks to bonus money from sponsors. The top 5 was completed by Chris Klemko who started 12th and 14th starting Daniel Graumenz.
A huge thank you goes out to Allen Hafford, who spent countless hours putting together all the bonuses and who without the Bill Grogan Memorial would not be possible. Also the Wisconsin wingLESS series would like to recognize and thank all of those who contributed to make Saturday night what it was:
