Inside Line Promotions – WINDOM, Minn. (Feb. 23, 2016) – Larry Chase has been tabbed as the competition director for the GoMuddy.com National Sprint League 360 Diamond Region.

Chase, who hails from Bryant, Ark., has been a longtime fan, sponsor and crew chief within the sport.

“Now I’m going to the other side,” he joked. “I think the NSL is a great opportunity for the local competitors. It gives them the option to compete and make some money at it. I wanted to come on board because I’ve known (NSL National Director) Tommie Estes Jr. for many years. He’s always been a straight-up guy. He was always true to the rules. I want to bring some of that back to the sport.”

The GoMuddy.com NSL 360 Diamond Region currently has 18 races on the 2016 slate with two thirds of the events at I-30 Speedway in Little Rock, Ark., which is a high-banked, quarter-mile oval that has allocated a majority of its points fund to the GoMuddy.com NSL 360 Diamond Region.

“I believe in Tommie so I’m going to get behind this,” I-30 Speedway Owner Tracey Clay said. “The NSL has created a great opportunity for drivers to make money through the Cash Bowl so that is where our support is. Our local drivers have an amazing opportunity to make more money than ever before if they become NSL members.”

The GoMuddy.com NSL 360 Series has a unique format to determine the national champion as well as drivers who earn bonus money – titled the ‘Cash Bowl’ – throughout the 2016 campaign. Any driver who competes in at least one national race and 15 regional races or 90 percent of any region’s events is eligible for the Cash Bowl, which pays $10 per point.

The final night of a national event provides 120 points to win and eight points to start the main event. Regional races deliver 30 points to win and two points to start.

Teams that don’t have the NSL engine gasket and want to race are eligible for the full purse at all national and regional races in 2016. However, a team has to send in a valid entry form and meet all NSL rules prior to receiving any points toward the Cash Bowl.

Two of the eight national events will occur at I-30 Speedway, where the 2016 season begins March 10-12 with the 28th Annual COMP Cams Short Track Nationals presented by Hoosier Tires. The $15,000-to-win event was postponed from last October because of weather.

Also of note, KDN Promotions will provide a $100 bonus to the Hard Charger Award winner who is NSL eligible at each GoMuddy.com NSL 360 Diamond Region event. Also, Chase’s business – Stealth Recovery – will offset the cost of the provisional for an NSL eligible driver during the November edition of the COMP Cams Short Track Nationals presented by Hoosier Tires.
