Scelzi, Lindberg and Kouba Capture Feature Wins at Jackson Motorplex

Inside Line Promotions – JACKSON, Minn. (July 20, 2018) – Dominic Scelzi, Jesse Lindberg and Jake Kouba each scored their first feature victory of the season at Jackson Motorplex on Friday evening.
Scelzi swept the Full Tilt Performance presents the Barb Wieskus Memorial, winning a heat race, the dash and the DeKalb/Asgrow presents the Midwest Power Series by GRP Motorsports main event during an event that was co-sanctioned by the Midwest Sprint Touring Series and Carpet Land Nebraska 360 Sprints.
Thomas Kennedy finished second by less than half a second with MSTS points leader Lee Grosz third. Cody Ledger placed fourth and Justin Henderson ended fifth.
An impressive field of 47 drivers tackled the $5,000-to-win event with Seth Brahmer, Henderson, Jack Dover and Kennedy joining Scelzi as heat race winners. Travis Rilat and Jason Martin each claimed a B Main.
Lindberg narrowly edged 10th-starting Brady Forbrook, who was victorious two nights ago at Jackson Motorplex, for the Heartland Steel RaceSaver sprint cars presented by Wyffels Hybrids triumph. Brandon Allen, Colin Smith and points leader Kaleb Johnson rounded out the top five, respectively.
Lindberg, Allen and Ryan Voss each won a heat race.
Kouba maneuvered from his fourth starting position to garner the NSL non-wing sprint cars presented by HitchDoc victory. Clinton Bruns finished in the runner-up position with Jeremy Kerzman third, Brandon Halverson fourth and points leader Alex Schriever fifth.
Schriever was victorious during the lone heat race.
Jackson Motorplex has two big events coming up next week. First, the 4/10-mile oval showcases Bank Midwest Night featuring the Ben Nothdurft Memorial for the Tri-State Late Model Series, IMCA modifieds, IMCA stock cars, IMCA hobby stocks, IMCA sport mods and IMCA sport compacts on Wednesday.
The ABDO Fair Race featuring the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions and the Outlaw Sprints Fueled by Casey’s General Stores 410 winged sprint cars, Heartland Steel RaceSaver sprint cars presented by Wyffels Hybrids and NSL non-wing sprint cars presented by HitchDoc follows next Friday at Jackson Motorplex.
