Beierle Plans Limited Racing Schedule Around School Work
Inside Line Promotions – AMES, Iowa (April 24, 2018) – Andee Beierle will have a very busy summer both racing and continuing her education.
Beierle plans to compete in 12-to-15 360ci sprint car races while conducting research through the summer associated with her chemical engineering degree. She is also studying to take the entrance exam for medical school.
“I have racing goals and life goals and I’m working on both this summer,” she said. “School will leave me very little time for racing, but I love to race and we will get a dozen or more shows in this year.”
Beierle has enlisted the help of fellow sprint car driver Jody Rosenboom of Rock Rapids, Iowa, to help. Rosenbloom is a former Huset’s Speedway champion and he finished second in the Midwest Sprint Touring Series championship standings in 2017.
“I couldn’t do this without Jody’s help,” said Beierle, adding that after this summer she will have three more semesters to go for her chemical engineering degree. “He will make sure the car is ready to go when I get the chance to race so that I can focus on my academics.
“My dad will come up from Florida to all the races, but he can’t be here all the time to work on the car and that’s where Jody comes in.”
Beierle said her racing focus will be with the Midwest Sprint Touring Series after she kicks off her season on May 4 at I-80 Speedway in Greenwood, Neb., with the Carpet Land Nebraska 360 Sprints. Her first MSTS race is the following night at Wagner Speedway in Wagner, S.D.
“Of course we can’t race at all of their events, but there are so many close, which makes it a lot easier on all of us,” she said. “We will hit most of the Iowa and South Dakota shows and maybe a few at Jackson (Motorplex in Jackson, Minn.).”
